lakers-celtics preview

as much as i love the lakers and as well as they’re playing right now, the celtics are playing just as well. i admit, i’ve watched several of the celtics’ games and they’re really really good. i think it’s great though…renew the rivalry. it’s great for the league when the lakers and celtics do well. anyway, i’m pumped for the game tonight, and can’t wait for the lakers to make their boldest statement with a win tonight. it’s gonna take a lot though..

trevor ariza should be starting, and he needs to step up defensively tonight. he’s played great one-on-one and team defense, and if he continues that, we’ll have our best chance. he needs to slow down paul pierce.

kobe hasn’t been consistent with his defense. he’s great, but only when he commits to it. a lot of times, when he gets picked off, he’s slow to rotate or recover and it screws up the rest of the rotations. he needs to stay on ray allen and he can totally shut him down if he commits to it, but that’s not gonna happen.

bynum’s been living on alley-oops and put backs, but the celtics (especially garnett) are too good to allow that. hopefully, he can respond in other ways.
